A coastal walk linking the iconic beach of Pointe Coton to Rivière Banane along the shoreline trail.
The trail linking Pointe Coton to Rivière Banane offers an alternative to the Mourouk → Saint-François walk for discovering the east coast of Rodrigues. More discreet, it remains less busy than the classics of the south.
The route
The walk starts from the beach at Pointe Coton, one of the island’s most beautiful beaches with its white sand and crystal-clear water. The trail then follows the coast northwards, alternating between clifftop sections and descents towards the coves.
Arriving at Rivière Banane, you can follow up with a snorkeling session (see the dedicated article) or lunch at the thatched hut.
